Peer Feedback Week 8

In this week’s peer feedback session, I showed off the first test renders for the primary scene in my trailer. For this I had roughly rigged a dinosaur model and posed him and Adam in similar positions to how they were in my animatic. I also used other third-party assets to loosely decorate the room to get an idea of the direction. However, because the scene involves a lot of browns, I had to recolour the T-rex in an effort to break up the colours. When I did this, I was unsure about the colours that I had used so this was the main point of feedback that I was looking for in this session. From this it was suggested that I add similar colours in the background to help blend the scene as the dinosaur’s colour itself was fine. This was a very helpful point; however, I am still unsure about the colour tone of the dinosaur. For this I think that I will have to leave it until the scene is more complete before dealing with the colour corrections. Outside of this I did receive some praise on my cinematography, despite it just being a test shot. This was very promising however I still think that the composition needs some work.

Outside of this I spent the rest of the session giving out feedback as normal, with us helping Joshira revaluate his work to make it more manageable in regards to the time limit. All in all, this was a very productive feedback session.
