For the first day back for Easter holiday we had a peer feedback session about what stage we were at in our project. Unfortunately, during my session one of the participants had a connection issue and left the call, meaning that I only had one person to give and receive feedback from. Never the less I showed her the progress that I had made during the holiday, in which I transferred my work to flicker, finished my storyboard and animatic, and started making considerable progress on Adam’s character model. The person that I was with found my work to be fairly impressive. However, as we discussed it further, she pointed out that I should develop my colour palette for my final outcome. For this she suggested looking online for premade colour pallets as she had for her project.
In regards to this I already had a basic idea of how the colours would play out in my trailer. However, before I get to the stage where I apply colour, I do still need to get a concreate idea of what specific colours and tones I want to portray in my piece. For this I could look back at the recording of todays drawing session about colour theory, which I missed so that I could continue working on Adams model.
Beyond this, when I showed my peer my flicker page and asked her to grade it, she said that she would place it at a high merit/distinction, with the comment that my project has a clear direction. This is very promising and shows that I am on the right track for completing my project to a high standard of quality.
