In this workshop we explored basic concepts in narrative design. This led to us independently analysing John Lewis adverts in order to understand how their narratives were structured in order to achieve their intended purpose of selling products. In the second half we created elevator pitches of our FMP proposals to tell each other and give feedback on. I found this slightly challenging as I hadn’t figured out all of the elements of my narrative yet.

Feedback:

From the feedback session the main point that I received was that I had to develop my understanding of my projects outcome so that it could inform my elevator pitch more clearly. Whilst this was good feedback, it was also something that I already knew going in as up until that point I had just been doing world building rather than focusing on the core narrative.
