In this last game group feedback session, I wanted to make the most out of the session. However, as my animation was still rendering, I wasn’t able to get feedback on the finished render. Instead, I showed a recording of my un-rendered animation through using OBS. Unfortunately, during this session no one’s microphones were working for unknow reasons. This made explaining the projects state much more difficult. Despite this I was able to receive plenty of compliments for my animation and test renders. Specifically, I also re-asked if Adam’s new hair held up as I had to simplify it to decrease render time. Luckily, just like the last time I asked for feedback on this, no one noticed the difference until I pointed it out. Outside of this I also received praise for my render map which I used to estimate the time that my render would take. A thing that I am still concerned about is the fact that since the frame rate was so low in the final animation test, it is misleading to how fast the animation actually flows. At this stage however there isn’t much I can do as I wouldn’t have enough time to re-render the animation. What I will most likely have to do is adjust the speed in post-production editing. With this however there is a risk of the animations becoming choppy due to it only having 24 frames per second.
