In this week’s drawing workshop, we practiced drawing with perspective. We were shown how to create perspective guides on both photoshop and in traditional media. As I often have a weakness in 2d Digital art I decided to push myself and try and do the workshop on photoshop. However, I was met with multpi9le technical issues that made following along with the perspective guides difficult do to me having an updated version of photoshop. Whilst I was eventually able to fix this with the help of fellow students, it did mean that the only perspective drawing that I was able to complete was the 3-point perspective. Because of this I don’t think that I completed it successfully, with the perspective becoming skewed in the background.

Because of this I decided to give the perspective drawing another try in my sketchbook as part of my environment concept sketches. For this I did a different point perspective for each location, trying to make the most use of the different perspectives. Whilst the process went much more smoothly doing it traditionally, I do think I yet again didn’t correctly apply 3-piont perspective as it ended up closely resembling 2-piont perspective. This tells me that 3-piont perspective is something that I will have to practice in the future in order to achieve it.
