At the start of the week we did a pier feedback session about where we were in the project and how we could take our ideas further. For this however I wasn't able to gain much out of it outside of being able to see how other people were doing as my project was already fairly developed.
Beyond this most of the week was spent developing my project further, with me producing a mood board, concept art and test render for my McGuffin object. For the concept art I took note from the orthographic drawing session on Monday to create very basic drawings of the crown in illustrator to act as reference for the modelling. During the modelling however I decided to do it in Blender instead of Maya as, whilst I have been getting good at Maya, I am much more confident in my abilities to texture and render in blender. In addition to this, I also spent some time doing workshops involving editing video in Photoshop and learning more Maya. Personally I found the photoshop workshop hard to get involved in as I am not at a stage where I need the techniques that were being taught. As for the Maya workshop I found that whilst there were technical difficulties it was fairly fun to talk about 3d modeling.
As a final part of the week I received feedback on my work from my tutor. Most of the feedback that I received was linked to making small changes to my Wix website to make it more professorial and improve the user experience. I also, when I asked, received some feedback about adding some more experimentation to my work. In regards to this I was going to try and 3d print my McGuffin object, however if this becomes unrealistic then i was going to try and explore some basic stop motion further.
